Graphic design is the practice of using visual language, encompassing typography, image, colour, layout, and digital interaction, to communicate ideas with clarity and intention. It is a discipline that operates at the intersection of art and communication, where creative vision is always in service of a purpose, whether that is informing, persuading, identifying, or moving an audience. The discipline underpins branding, publishing, digital media, wayfinding, and almost every form of visual communication in the contemporary world.
