About this course

Health and wellbeing combined with psychology is a degree that sits at the intersection of two disciplines with a shared and urgent concern: understanding what it means for people to be healthy, and what gets in the way. Health and wellbeing is a field that has moved well beyond the narrow clinical model of treating disease to encompass the social, psychological, environmental, and behavioural factors that shape health across populations. Psychology provides the empirical tools and theoretical frameworks to understand how people think, feel, and behave, and why those patterns affect their health. At Liverpool Hope University, this three-year full-time degree develops graduates who understand the root causes of ill health and have the motivation and skills to promote health and wellbeing across diverse populations.
