About this course

Diagnostic radiography is the healthcare profession responsible for producing the medical images on which clinical diagnosis and treatment depend. Radiographers work at the heart of modern medicine, using X-ray, CT, MRI, fluoroscopy and other imaging technologies to produce images that allow clinicians to identify fractures, tumours, organ abnormalities, vascular conditions and a broad range of pathologies. The role requires both technical expertise in operating sophisticated imaging equipment and the patient-centred skills needed to care for people who are often anxious or in pain. At Brighton, this three-year full-time programme prepares you for registration as a diagnostic radiographer with the Health and Care Professions Council.
