About this course

Politics and psychology are disciplines that illuminate one another in striking ways. Politics examines the structures, institutions, and processes through which power is distributed and exercised, asking how governments, parties, and citizens interact and why political outcomes take the forms they do. Psychology investigates human behaviour, thought, and motivation at the individual and group level. Brought together, they allow you to explore questions about political behaviour, the psychology of leadership and influence, public opinion, decision-making under uncertainty, and the human dimensions of conflict and cooperation, questions that neither discipline can fully address on its own.
