Business computing sits at the point where commercial thinking meets technological capability. It is concerned not with programming as an end in itself but with the application of computing in real business and organisational contexts: understanding how technology shapes organisations, how digital solutions are designed and implemented to solve commercial problems, and how data, systems, and software can be deployed to create value. In a world where every business is now in some sense a technology business, this combination of commercial and technical knowledge is increasingly important.
