About this course

Culture, heritage and theology is a broad and genuinely interdisciplinary degree that brings together the study of human creative expression, the ways in which societies remember and interpret their past, and the religious traditions that have shaped and continue to shape human experience. These three areas of study are deeply connected: sacred sites are heritage sites; religious narratives shape cultural identity; and the interpretation of culture almost always involves theological assumptions, whether acknowledged or not. Studying them together allows you to explore those connections seriously.
