Drawing is one of the oldest and most versatile of human practices, a means of thinking, communicating, recording and imagining that spans everything from the rapid observational sketch to the elaborate architectural plan, the comic strip, the animation frame and the screen-based mark. At the University of the Arts London, the BA Fine Art: Drawing at Camberwell College of Arts treats contemporary drawing not as a single technique but as a way of questioning and communicating our relationship to the world. From pencils to pixels, drawing is understood as immediate, affordable, portable and adaptable, a tool that can be scaled from the intimate to the monumental and used to investigate any subject.
