About this course

Adult nursing is the branch of nursing concerned with the care of adults across the lifespan, from young adults to older people, in hospital and community settings. Adult nurses care for people with a wide range of conditions, from acute medical and surgical emergencies to chronic long-term conditions, cancer care and palliative medicine. The role requires clinical knowledge, technical skill, interpersonal sensitivity and the ability to coordinate care effectively across complex health systems. At the University of Leeds, the three-year full-time BSc is built around academic study and clinical placements in a range of NHS and community settings, including wards, primary care, mental health and specialist services.
