About this course

Architectural technology and design sits at the boundary between architecture and engineering, concerned with the technical and design intelligence needed to realise buildings that are structurally sound, environmentally responsible, and fit for purpose. Architectural technologists are the professionals who bridge the gap between the conceptual designs of architects and the technical realities of construction, ensuring that buildings work as well as they look. They are expert in building construction, materials, building physics, environmental performance, and the regulatory and contractual frameworks that govern the construction process. At UWE Bristol you will study this three-year full-time programme, developing skills in architectural design alongside a rigorous grounding in construction technology, building information modelling, environmental performance, and the technical product
