Biomedical engineering at King's College London is designed to train the next generation of engineers working at the frontier where healthcare and technology meet. The field applies engineering principles and methods to problems in medicine and biology, developing devices, systems and techniques that improve diagnosis, treatment and patient outcomes. From imaging systems and implantable devices to wearable sensors and surgical instruments, biomedical engineers translate scientific understanding of the body into clinical tools that make a real difference to people's lives and health.
