Building Surveying is a professional discipline concerned with the condition, performance and future of buildings. Building surveyors assess the pathology of structures, advising on the opportunities for refurbishment, reuse, development, restoration, repair and conservation, and working with clients to navigate the technical, legal and financial dimensions of building ownership and improvement. It is a practical and analytically demanding profession that touches every part of the built environment, from historic listed buildings and social housing to commercial properties and new developments.
