Human geography is the study of how people organise themselves across space and place, examining cities and rural areas, migration and settlement, economic inequality, cultural landscapes, political boundaries, and the social production of space. It is a discipline that takes the world as it actually is and asks rigorous questions about why it looks the way it does, who benefits and who does not, and how things might change.
