Human geography sits at the intersection of people, place, and power. It asks why societies are organised the way they are, how landscapes are shaped by economic and political forces, and what it means to belong somewhere. Rather than cataloguing facts about the world, the discipline teaches you to read places critically, to question who benefits from particular spatial arrangements, and to think across scales from the neighbourhood to the global. It is one of the most genuinely interdisciplinary subjects available at degree level, drawing on sociology, economics, political science, environmental studies, and cultural theory in roughly equal measure.
