Archaeology, anthropology, and art history is a combination that asks the deepest questions about human culture: what objects reveal about the people who made and used them, how societies are organised and how they change over time, and how visual art encodes and communicates meaning across cultures and centuries. These are three disciplines that have always talked to each other, and studying them together gives you a richer and more layered view of human experience than any single one could offer alone. Archaeology provides direct evidence of past human activity. Anthropology interprets social and cultural life comparatively, across living and historical communities.
