It sits at the intersection of the built environment professions, drawing on engineering, surveying, project management, contract law, and financial management to oversee the complex processes through which buildings, infrastructure, and civil engineering works are brought from design to completion. Construction is one of the largest industries in the economy, and its managers play a critical role in determining whether projects succeed or fail.
