About this course

Financial computing sits at the junction of three disciplines that have become inseparable in modern financial markets: quantitative finance, computer science and mathematics. The field emerged from the recognition that pricing complex financial instruments, managing risk and executing trading strategies at scale all require substantial computational power and algorithmic sophistication. Financial computing professionals build the models and systems that underlie derivatives pricing, portfolio optimisation, risk management platforms and algorithmic trading infrastructure. It is a technically demanding discipline with substantial intellectual depth.
