Mining Engineering is one of the oldest branches of engineering and remains essential to modern life. Almost every material object begins with the extraction of resources from the earth, and the engineers who design, manage, and improve that process are responsible for supplying the raw materials on which manufacturing, energy, and technology depend. The discipline spans geology, geomechanics, mine design, ventilation, environmental management, and health and safety, requiring both rigorous technical knowledge and the ability to manage complex operations in challenging conditions.
