Real estate is the study of the built environment as both an asset class and a sector of the economy: how property is valued, bought, sold, developed and managed across commercial, residential, industrial and leisure markets. It draws on economics, law, finance, planning and surveying to address the practical and analytical challenges of the property market. Real estate professionals advise on property investment, development and management, and work with the full spectrum of property types from city centre offices to rural estates and from logistics warehouses to leisure facilities.
