Computer science is the intellectual foundation of the digital world, concerned with the principles of computation, the design and analysis of algorithms, the architecture of software systems, and the mathematical foundations that underpin all of these. Studying it at degree level means developing both theoretical depth and practical programming ability, and the question of what to build with those skills is as important as the technical question of how to build it.
