About this course
Data science is one of the most consequential disciplines of the early twenty-first century. As the volume and variety of data generated by human activity, digital systems, scientific instruments and connected devices have grown exponentially, the ability to extract genuine insight from that data has become a critical capability across almost every sector of the economy. Data science combines the mathematical rigour of statistics with the computational tools of computer science and the domain knowledge needed to ask meaningful questions and communicate answers effectively. At the University of Warwick, this three-year full-time BSc is accredited and designed to develop all three of those dimensions. You will build highly developed mathematical and statistical skills alongside competence in programming, machine learning, data engineering and the tools used for large-scale data analysis.
