Conservation Biology is the scientific study of biodiversity with the aim of protecting species, habitats and ecosystems. In this module students will review biodiversity and its importance. Threats to biodiversity will be critically analysed within the context of sustainability. Global climate change is a significant factor affecting the distribution of the flora and fauna of planet Earth. Maintaining biodiversity with a growing human population must be a priority.
