About this course

Environmental management is the discipline concerned with how natural systems are understood, governed, and protected, and how the competing demands of economic development and environmental sustainability are balanced in practice. It draws on science, geography, economics, law, and social science to address questions about how land, water, air, and biodiversity are managed, how environmental policy is developed and implemented, and how organisations can reduce their impact on the natural world. At Queen's University Belfast, this three-year full-time BSc explores the physical, social, economic, and cultural dimensions of environmental management.
