About this course
Forensic science applies the methods and knowledge of the natural sciences to the investigation of crime and the legal processes that follow from it. It draws on chemistry, biology, physics, and related disciplines to examine physical evidence, from trace materials and DNA to digital data and toxicological samples, translating scientific findings into information that courts can use to establish facts and support the pursuit of justice. This three-year full-time degree at Wrexham University includes a foundation year entry route, allowing students who need additional preparation to build their scientific and analytical foundations before progressing to degree-level study.
