About this course

Pharmacy is the health profession concerned with the science of medicines: how they work, how they are made, how they are used safely and how pharmacists contribute to patient care across the full range of health settings. Pharmacists are the experts on medicines within the healthcare team, advising prescribers, counselling patients, monitoring drug interactions and reactions, and increasingly taking on clinical roles that extend well beyond the dispensing counter. The profession is growing in responsibility and clinical scope, and the pharmacist's role in keeping people safe and preventing harm connected to medication has never been more important. At King's College London you will train for registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council across a four-year full-time MPharm programme, developing the scientific and clinical knowledge needed to practise as a pharmacist in the UK.
