About this course

Geography examines the relationship between people and the places, environments and systems they inhabit, spanning physical processes from glaciation and river dynamics to climate change, alongside human geographies of urbanisation, migration, economic development and cultural identity. It is one of the few disciplines that bridges the natural and social sciences, giving graduates a methodological breadth that is rare and valuable. The ability to work with quantitative data, conduct fieldwork, interpret maps and satellite imagery, and analyse social and policy questions using qualitative methods makes geography graduates genuinely versatile. At Aberystwyth University you will follow a four-year programme that includes an integrated year studying abroad at one of the university's international or European partner institutions, giving you a genuine international dimension to your geograph
