Philosophy, ethics, and religion is a combination that explores some of the deepest and most enduring questions human beings have faced. Philosophy asks about the nature of reality, knowledge, reasoning, and value, using careful argument to test ideas that might otherwise be assumed without question. Ethics considers how we ought to live, what we owe each other, and how we should approach difficult moral decisions at both the personal and the political level. The study of religion examines the beliefs, practices, texts, and institutions of the world's religious traditions, asking both what they are and what they mean for individuals, communities, and societies. Together, the three disciplines develop a rich capacity for reflective thinking about the most fundamental questions of human life.
