About this course

Adult nursing is a profession that places you at the centre of patient care across the full span of human life. Nurses assess, plan, and deliver care for individuals with a wide range of acute and long-term conditions, working collaboratively with doctors, allied health professionals, families, and communities. The role demands both scientific knowledge and human sensitivity, combining clinical competence with the communication skills to support patients and families through some of the most challenging experiences of their lives. At Queen's University Belfast this three-year full-time degree integrates theory and practice from the outset, with students spending half their time in university gaining the latest nursing theory and clinical skills, and half in clinical placements gaining direct patient care experience in a variety of settings. The programme is designed to prepare graduates
