International business is concerned with how organisations operate, compete, and grow in a world where commerce crosses national boundaries. It addresses the distinctive challenges and opportunities that arise when businesses engage with customers, suppliers, partners, and competitors in multiple countries with different legal systems, cultural norms, currencies, political environments, and economic conditions. The discipline draws on economics, management, marketing, and organisational theory, situating all of these within the realities of a genuinely globalised business environment.
