Artificial intelligence encompasses the methods by which computers are made to exhibit behaviour that we would recognise as intelligent: learning from data, recognising images and speech, playing games, translating languages, and making decisions. These capabilities have moved from research curiosity to production system with remarkable speed, and the demand for graduates who understand both the foundational computer science and the specific techniques of AI development is very strong and growing. At Edinburgh Napier University, this four-year programme covers the core computer science curriculum, including programming, algorithms and data structures, software engineering, databases, and networking, along
