Electrical and mechanical engineering is a dual engineering discipline that combines the study of electrical and electronic systems with the principles of mechanical engineering, creating graduates who can work effectively across the intersection of these fields. In modern industrial and technological contexts, the boundary between electrical and mechanical systems is often blurred: motors and actuators convert electrical energy into mechanical work; sensors convert physical quantities into electrical signals; control systems use electrical and electronic technology to regulate the behaviour of mechanical processes.
