About this course

Law and Arabic is a degree that develops two kinds of rigour simultaneously: the analytical discipline of legal study and the linguistic and cultural depth of serious Arabic engagement. Law trains you to read rules and cases precisely, to identify legal issues in complex situations, and to construct and communicate arguments clearly. Arabic gives you access to a language spoken by over 300 million people, a legal and intellectual tradition of enormous historical significance, and direct engagement with one of the world's most strategically important regions. Together they produce a graduate with a combination of capabilities that is rare and genuinely sought after.
