Agriculture and farm management sits at the intersection of science, business and environmental stewardship. Farming is not simply a matter of growing food: it involves managing land, labour, capital and risk in a way that is economically viable, environmentally responsible and responsive to changing markets, policy environments and climate conditions. Modern farm managers need to understand soil science, animal husbandry, crop production and agri-food supply chains alongside business planning, financial management, regulation and technology adoption. At the Royal Agricultural University, this two-year full-time programme is designed for those who want to develop the practical, business and leadership skills needed to manage an agricultural or agri-food enterprise.
