About this course

Adult nursing is one of the most directly meaningful careers available to a university graduate. Nurses are the largest professional group in the NHS, and they work at the point where scientific knowledge, clinical skill, human compassion and practical judgement meet every day. Adult nursing covers the care of people from the age of eighteen onwards across the full range of acute, community and specialist settings, from surgical wards and intensive care to district nursing, rehabilitation and palliative care. The demands are real, but so is the reward of making a genuine difference to people at their most vulnerable. At Swansea University, the Adult Nursing degree at the Carmarthen Campus will give you the skills and experience to enter this diverse and essential profession. The programme runs for three years full time, and it combines academic study of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology
