You will develop a rigorous understanding of mathematical structures, including analysis, algebra, topology, and differential geometry, alongside the theoretical physics that puts those structures to work in describing quantum mechanics, electromagnetism, general relativity, statistical mechanics, and particle physics. A year abroad is incorporated into the programme, giving you the opportunity to study at an international partner institution and to engage with mathematics and physics in a different academic culture.
