Physics with French is a combination that reflects the genuinely international nature of scientific research. You will study the core areas of modern physics, including quantum theory, relativity, particle physics, electromagnetism, and condensed matter, developing both the theoretical understanding and the mathematical and experimental skills that characterise professional physicists. The programme draws on Queen's strength in physics research, and the year abroad enriches your scientific education with a different academic tradition and cultural perspective. Careers in research, data science, finance, engineering, computing, healthcare technology, and many other fields are open to graduates who can think quantitatively and handle complex analytical problems.
